Configuring SMTP Server Settings

You can configure App Net Manager to use an SMTP server to forward information, such as reports and alarms, by email.

To configure SMTP server settings, do the following:

  1. Right-click the domain name in the domain directory.

  2. Select Preferences from the context menu.

    The Preferences for Domain domain_name dialog displays.

  3. Select the SMTP Server tab and then specify the following details:

    • SMTP Host Name specifies a host name or IP address.

    • SMTP Port specifies the port number where the SMTP server is reachable. The default value is 25.

    • Timeout specifies the amount of time, in seconds, that App Net Manager waits for the SMTP server to respond to connection requests. The default value is 15.

    • SMTP server requires a secure connection (SSL) specifies if the SMTP server requires SSL connections.

    • SMTP server requires authentication specifies if the SMTP server requires authentication.

  4. Select OK to close the Preferences for Domain domain_name dialog.

  5. Select File and then Save to save your changes to the Corente SCP.
